Kishio Suga
스가 키시오 전이 2005년 5월 6일부터 6월 4일까지 갤러리 신라에서 개최된다.
스가 키시오는 1944년,日本 모리오카 출신으로 이우환과 小凊水漸 등과 함께 70년대 미술계에 충격을 안겨준 모노파의 중심작가이자, 동양철학과 다도에 조예가 깊고 미술평론 등 문필가로도 잘 알려져 있다.
이번 전시는 국내에서는 본격적으로 소개된 바 없는 일본 모노하 작가의 처음 전시입니다. 이러한 작품을 통해서 미술을 새롭게 생각하고 미술의 본질적 요소를 다시 한 번 되새겨 봄으로써 우리의 나아갈 바를 확인 할 수 있는 계기가 되었으면 합니다. 이번 전시를 위해서, 작가는 두 번의 대구 방문을 통하여 사전답사와 제작 설치를 직접 실행 하였으며, 또한 Work Shop Program 방식을 도입하여 4名의 젊은 대구작가들과 호흡을 맞추도록 하였다.

Kishio Suga's exhibition will be held at Gallery Shilla from May 6th to June 4th, 2005.
Born in Morioka, Japan in 1944, Kishio Suga is a central artist of the Monopa movement that shocked the art world in the 1970s along with Lee U-fan and Koh Sui-yong.
This exhibition is the first exhibition by Japanese monoha artists who have not been introduced in earnest in Korea. I hope that these works will serve as an opportunity to rethink art and to reflect on the essential elements of art once again, thereby confirming our future path. For this exhibition, the artist visited Daegu twice to perform preliminary field trips, production, and installation, and also introduced a Workshop Program method to work with four young Daegu artists.
